The Family Inn has become "The Yawkey Family Inn."

After a long and careful process, The Family Inn has chosen to partner with Children's Hospital to keep the dream of the Family Inn alive. Children's Hospital has purchased and renovated a former fraternity house at 241 Kent Street in Brookline to establish a residence for families. On June 1, 2009, through the combined generosity of the Yawkey Foundation and The Family Inn Foundation, Children's Hospital opened and named their new residential facility "The Yawkey Family Inn." During the coming months, operations of the Family Inn at Sewall Avenue will transition to the new 241 Kent Street location.
